So you want to run your own shop?
Many employees feel the escape from their 9 to 5 is to open their own shop. They haven’t a clue as to what they might be getting themselves into. Here are a few pointers are what you need to do before taking such a giant step.
Make sure all your personal finances are in order. If you are weighed down with major credit card debt, there is no way you are going to be successful in keep your own shop afloat.
Talk to your significant other or current spouse. Is your partner ready to stand in line behind you while you work all hours of the day and night.
Do you have the proper business training to take on the role that requires you wearing all hats?
Have you bounded your idea for a business off some else’s head? Have you done some brainstorming?
Have you looked around your potential market for potential competition?
